Calling all eight-bit aficionados and crack Ms. Pac-Man players. Aeronaut brewery in Somerville will be hosting Bit Fest on December 11, a celebration inspired by the halcyon days of mall arcades and home video game consoles.

In conjunction with Boston Retro Gamers and Indie Game Collective, Aeronaut will throw a mammoth party featuring 30 vintage arcade games (Pac-Man, Centipede, and Ms. Pac-Man confirmed), brand new interactive video games, old school Nintendo games projected onto wall of the brewery, special brews, a video game trivia show, and live music from a dedicated chiptunes group, as well as house band The Funky Bubblers.

“It’s one of these awesome things that just sort of wandered our way,” says Aeronaut cofounder Ben Holmes. “Two video gaming groups, the Indie Game Collective and Boston Retro Gamers, both asked if they could throw a holiday event here at Aeronaut. So we viewed it as an opportunity to transform the entire brewery with either bleeding edge video games or 30-year-old retro video games. Everything will be themed with the video game’s future and past—nothing in between.

Admission is free and quarters will be available at the brewery on the night of the event. In addition, there will be prizes, food available from Munch Mobile Kitchen, a video game repair station, and even a Mario Kart tournament.
