With Boston Calling’s move to the (relatively) wide open space of the Harvard Athletic Complex in Lower Allston this spring, you can bet the concessions organizers upped their game.

That means the usual favorites, like Roxy’s Grilled Cheese, Tasty Burger, Bon Me, and Whole Heart Provisions, plus new offerings including oysters, rice burgers, artisan English muffin pizzas, eight—that’s right, eight—Mikkeller beers on draft, and much more—and that’s just in the general admission section. VIP and Platinum ticketholders will have access to meals by chefs like Brendan Pelley (Doretta Taverna & Raw Bar), Will Gilson (Puritan & Co.), and Michael Scelfo (Waypoint, Alden & Harlow).

“Prior to this, we were somewhat restricted by the physical real estate on [City Hall Plaza],” says Stewart Billodeaux, director of concessions for event producer Crash Line Productions. “We’re basically doubling the size of the festival. Not only can we have twice as many vendors, but we can do a whole, wide array of offerings, from vegetarian, to barbecue, to oysters on the half shell. It really just enhances the experiences from top to bottom, because now everyone is going to find something they like to eat.”

The Texas native, who has been involved with festivals from Lollapalooza to the Austin City Limits Fest and beyond, is especially excited to welcome chef Andy Husbands and the Smoke Shop BBQ to the GA lineup, he says.

“I’ve heard so much great stuff about Stone & Skillet, so I’m intrigued to see how they turn this English muffin thing into a pizza,” Billodeaux adds. And Mikkeller’s Mikkel Borg Bjergsø, who brewed a signature lager for the festival last spring, is “such a wizard and a creator. I can’t wait to taste what he brings to the table.”

The Mikkeller beer garden will be a refuge from the melee, Billodeaux says. Located in between the two main stages but tucked into a little forest of trees, “it’ll be a neat place to chill out and figure out where you’re going next,” he says. There will be eight Mikkeller selections, two special Sam Adams offerings, the Porch Rocker and a Raspberry Lemon gose; and Peroni and Pilsner Urquell.

Other bars throughout the complex will offer cans of Sam Adams Boston Lager, Summer, and Rebel IPA, High Life and other Miller offerings, and Truly Spiked & Sparkling boozy seltzer. Dark Horse is providing a red and white wine option, and Platinum ticketholders will have some liquor choices, too.

A few groups of food vendors will be sited throughout the grounds, while VIP and Platinum areas will have their own access.

Check out the full food and drink lineup below—and plan your Memorial Day weekend accordingly to catch sets by Chance the Rapper, Solange, Bon Iver, the xx, Mumford & Sons, Weezer, Run the Jewels, and more.

$99-$999, May 26-28, Harvard Athletic Complex, 65 N. Harvard St., Boston, bostoncalling.com.
