THE BRITISH ARE COMING!

By Jane Black

New Yorkers, especially those insufferable Big Apple foodies, love to tell you how they get everything first: the Spotted Pig (the first American gastro-pub), Gordon Ramsey’s London, you name it. But this time we’ve got the bragging rights. Beloved and blessedly cheap U.K. noodle chain Wagamama is finally hopping the pond. The initial outpost, complete with trademark communal tables and heaping bowls of ramen and rice, will open in Faneuil Hall Marketplace this month. A second is planned for Harvard Square. What’s that? If you can make it where, you can make it anywhere?

Opens 4/23, Quincy Market Building, Boston, wagamama.us; Harvard Square location debuts in July.
