Though you wouldn’t know it by the weather as of late, it’s officially fall—meaning that the onslaught of Autumn-themed menus has begun in local restaurants (see yesterday’s post as Exhibit A). Today, we bring you a look at the latest offerings to come from chef Michael Scelfo at his Harvard Square spot Russell House Tavern.

Menu standbys like the crispy fried poached egg and the short rib Wellington have stuck around, but there’s plenty of new options for those looking for a change, like crispy fried oysters with a creamy sriracha sauce and pickled watermelon rind, seared scallops with pumpkin and pancetta and a blue cheese wedge salad topped with crispy pig ears. On the pizza front, meanwhile, there’s the new “Fall Classic,” topped with an appealing combination of smoked beef tongue, Honey Crisp apples, cheddar and sage honey. For a full look at the new dinner and lunch menus, which will be gradually rolling out this week, check out the links below.
