The Gallows, Staff Meal, and Mei Mei Team Up for a Super Dinner
The triple-threat team will be offering a special collaborative dinner at The Gallows on September 12.
Get ready to make a reservation, because this will fill up fast: on September 12, food trucks Mei Mei (a Best of Boston winner this year) and Staff Meal (who we wrote about in May) will join forces with South End favorite The Gallows for a collaborative, one-time dinner.
I just got off the phone with The Gallows’ general manager Seth Yaffe, who told me that the collaboration was born out of a mutual respect (and friendship) between the three businesses. The menu on September 12 will be a la carte, with a third of the menu comprised from each participant; it will be divided into small, medium, and large plates.
While much of the menu is in flux, Yaffe said to expect snacks like pork buns (Mei Mei), tacos (Staff Meal), and a global pickle plate (The Gallows), plus bigger dishes like a Peking-style pig’s head (Staff Meal), a whole fried fish, and a smoke-roasted prime rib (both The Gallows).
