Next up in Tasty Burger’s growing empire: North Station. The Boston-based burger chain’s seventh location, set to open this spring, is headed for the ground level of the brand new Avalon North Station housing development (née Nashua Street Residences).

The 38-story building at 1 Nashua Street just opened in December, per Curbed Boston, bringing 503 new residential units to the area around the MBTA hub. The Tasty Burger entrance will be directly across a pedestrian walkway from the TD Garden entrance where there is a Dunkin’ Donuts and McDonald’s, says Amelia Sutton, head of PR and marketing for Tasty Burger—check out this Garden map for the location of the Avalon building.

Tasty Burger has a presence in Back Bay Station, and this new outpost will have a similar feel, with counter service and dining room seating. (Back Bay introduced a pilot breakfast program in 2016 aimed at commuters, but the company has since nixed the morning meal.)

It will carry the same lunch and dinner menu of GMO-free burgers, like the Big Tasty, the Rise n’ Shine, and a gluten-free veggie burger, plus crispy chicken sandwiches, beef hot dogs, shakes, and more classic burger joint fare. The ~3,000-square foot restaurant will have a beer and wine license, too.

Tasty Burger North Station is expected to open in May. After that, the Franklin Restaurant Group—which operates Franklin Café, Citizen Public House, and five other Boston and one Washington, D.C., locations of Tasty—will concentrate on Our Father’s Deli, a Jewish delicatessen-inspired restaurant at Continuum, a new, mixed-use development in Lower Allston. The deli should open 1-2 months after Tasty North Station, Sutton says.
