There are dozens of bars in Boston, but very few to which you can show up in Manolos. Enter 28 Degrees, a South End cooler-than-thou cocktail bar worthy of Sex and the City. Jimmy Choo–aholics (and the men who love them) turn out in droves to sip creative cocktails like the Lime Drop, kaffir lime–infused vodka with fresh lime and cilantro—that would even make Miss Bradshaw give up her beloved cosmo. Such glamour comes at a price, though. The petite lobster sliders—fancy for “lobster rolls”—cost $16 for two and leave you hungry. But the ample basket of vegetable tempura, served with ginger-mustard and ponzu dipping sauces, is a greaseless delight, and the pot stickers will please even the most sophisticated group. Which, of course, is exactly to whom 28 Degrees caters.
