This legendary coffee and pastry shop in the heart of the North End serves after-dinner grappa, gelato, and tiramisu in a charming traditional setting. Pastries run the gamut: éclairs, tiramisu, sfogliatelle, cannoli. The servers can be brusque, as they wrestle with the massive, ancient espresso machine, and the crowd is usually shoulder-to-shoulder, but it's still a sweet spot amid the neighborhood's notoriously “dessert-free” restaurants.
