Despite the wait to get in, Carmen's was the little gem we were told it would be. Small but neatly decorated. The food was unique and delicious. The pork chop melted in your mouth. The scallops were huge and the mussells appetizer was yummy. The menu was limited but had some super choices with the help of the waitress.

The bum's rush we got tonight belied all the reviews we had read about what a romantic place this is. We weren't even offered coffee or a dessert menu because they were in such a rush to turn our table over to the next diners. The mushroom soup was sandy, and the other dishes we ordered were unexciting. I'll never go back.
