If you are looking for slow service, untrained help, and poor (overpriced) food this is the place for you! If not, steer clear for your own good!!

Been to the ECB a few times in the past, and we keep wanting to like the place but always seems to be something amiss. We came in midweek, early in the evening so there weren't many other patrons and we sat at the bar. The bar tender was nice and we ordered some drinks that were great, but then apparently there was a shift change and our new server was a bit aloof with absolutely NO personality to speak of, we ordered the chef's tapas and it was a mixed bag. Flavor was there but, the chicken and beef were overcooked and tough. The fish and mussels were good though. When drinks were gone the server took away my wife's glass and didn't even ask if either of us wanted another. Wife ordered the Wild Boar Bolognese and I got the Duck. The Bolognese was delicious, the duck was horrible, the noodles were like a Cup O Noodles with soy sauce mixed in, the Moo Shi pancakes were really like pieces of wet dough, no flavor and soggy. The duck was tough and the skin was soggy and very fatty (Not cooked properly, I should say), In the end the Manager did take a round of drinks off of the total price and apologized. Like I said, we want to give local restaurants our business, but for these prices there really is no excuse for the missteps in the food or the service. If you want a much better meal for the price, I suggest Todd English's Olives in Charlestown, a little further drive but when your spending $150 for two people to eat, it had better be worth it. Try ECB for yourselves, but keep in mind it seems to be kind of a dice roll for service and food quality.

My friends and I went to this new restaruant in Malden. You walk in and you feel that your in boston in the southend. The martini menu is great and I cant wait to see the spring one. Food was great the lobster mac and cheese to die for. The tapas and calamari were out of this world. Deffently a must go great wine list as well. Will be back to Exchange Street Bistro Soon Thanks!!!!!!!!

My fiance and I were married just this past month and we had our dinner at ESB. Joe took very good care of us. She was a little stressed out and he took care of everything. It was great and we cant wait to go back there soon. Thanks for making this a great and stress free night for us. Much success

Exchange Street Bistro should be exchanged for a better dining establishment. I was shocked when I didnt get any utensils for my mussels(which were cold) & oysters which were bad. We asked for bread and never got any ontop of being harassed by the manager who was mad that we vocalized our disappointment to another diner. This place makes Burger King look like the Four Seasons.

Only 18 days left to fund a film in which I say all kinds of things I probably shouldn't have. Oy. http://t.co/pNvxPzTn
