Green Street
For more than 20 years Central Square’s Green Street Grill was a great spot for live music. So we were skeptical when new owner Dylan Black ended the performances to focus on killer cocktails and the restaurant’s signature Caribbean fare. Not to worry: Green Street is as tempting as ever. Black spent three months reviewing the seafood-heavy menu and inventing cocktails to match—try the East India, a serious Grand Marnier and cognac concoction, with the spicy shrimp and crab cakes. And chef Mark Romano has further refined island dishes such as grilled shrimp, choriço, and yucca with sour orange–garlic mojito sauce and chunky red snapper and lobster seviche. (The spicy goat curry is unchanged and as wicked as ever.)
