Pittsfield's recent renaissance is due in part to places like Mission Bar and Tapas, a spot so hip it has its own MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter profiles, but no telephone. The happening restaurant serves lots of zesty small plates and sweet Spanish wines to the beat of live jazz and indie folk bands.

1. "Fried artichokes" were marinated, from a supermarket jar, with bread crumbs
2. Boquerones were skinny canned anchovies type, not anchovies as served in Spanish restaurants
3. "Marinated Olive" were supermarket olives in a ramekin, not Spanish types
4. Paella had no saffron, was super-tomato-pasty
5.Bad mussels in the paella. Posted by Peter: Jul. July 12th, 2011 at 6:41 PM

I love this place! Everytime we are in the area we go to Mission. The food is outstanding, the service is excellent and the entertainment is ALWAYS the best. I love the salmon BLT sliders, the mussels, the lamb and the delicious desserts. We have never been disappointed. Posted by Susan: Jul. July 14th, 2009 at 7:58 PM
