The Nardellis haven't changed their grinder recipe since 1922 because—three generations and stores later—people still love it. The Classic Mix, a condiment with sweet bell peppers, onions, and cucumbers diced and marinated, can go on any of their Italian combinations, most of which cost well under $10.

Decided to try the new store in Southbury.
Ordered a chicken salad grinder with lettuce and tomatoe. The chicken was very dry and wound up throwing out the other half of the grinder after drinking a litre of water.
The preparations in the display case look dried out and like they have been sitting there for days.
Not overly impressed. Won't go back.
Will stick with Subway...Nardelli's is 50% more than what you can get at Subway.
They always try to upsell. Posted by Raymond: Apr. April 21st, 2010 at 7:55 PM
