Profile

Upscale dining in Norwood that's actually worth it—who knew? Located just steps away from the Norwood Central commuter rail stop, Olivadi's Tuscan-inspired dining room features elegant lighting, gleaming hardwood floors, and an open concept kitchen that exposes the heart of the restaurant—the brick oven. The menu of family comfort food specialties from the Calabria region of Italy features first course options like tender and sweet fried calamari and butternut squash and mushroom risotto, and for entrees, we recommend the handmade tagliatelle alla bolognese and the pan roasted duck (expertly rendered skin with lean and tender meat underneath). The sirloin is also terrific, grilled with a brush of gorgonzola, and served with crispy polenta fries. For dessert, there's made-to-order cannoli (still brittle and warm from the oven) and seasonal berries bathed in an addictive Sambuca syrup.
