Avalon is dead; long live the 'Dise. As Lansdowne Street is being tamed for Red Sox fans, Comm. Ave. continues to keep it real, thanks in large part to this 30-year mainstay. The Paradise has gotten even better lately, as it picks up its defunct rival's slack, and now consistently puts together the Hub's best lineup of musical acts. Not only does it book bands to thrill hipsters young (Ladytron, the Go! Team) and less so (X, the B-52's), but its two-level layout also allows audiences their choice of getting dirty down in the pit or enjoying the show from the relative calm of the balcony.

Review
I went there for Los Enanitos Verdes concert last Sunday and it turned to be the worst night ever. From the very beginning they were rude and very impolite with people who attended the concert. Let me mention here, 99 percent Latin. After the concert was over they literally pushed people out and ended up assaulting and beating an innocent person who was waiting for me to retrieve my coat. I have been to many concerts and such behavior had never taken place before. So maybe you should think twice before you decide to attend any event at Paradise (what an irony) Rock Club. And especially if you are planning to take a date, be prepared to be rudely torn apart. If you don't mind spending the rest of the night in Emergency room, Paradise Rock Club is just for you! And by the way, the simple fact of attending an event makes you heavily intoxicated!!!
