Review
I love Italian food, but unfortunately can't make it into the city frequently enough to enjoy most of my favorite North End restaurants. I remembered seeing Pellino's on TV Diner sometime last summer, and finally got around to trying it out, and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is small (typical of Italian restaurants, I suppose) but cozy as opposed to cramped. The booths were full, but we got a nice corner table by the window.
For an appetizer, we ordered an eggplant dish and their caesar salad. The salad portions are really big- we got two but definitely could have just split one! Everything was good, the eggplant was especially tasty. For entrees, my husband chose the rack of lamb and I ordered the chicken risotto. We both cleaned our plates- it was that good.
