While chef Lydia Shire’s Liberty Hotel restaurant is primarily Italian, Scampo offers left-field flourishes, too, like fresh-baked naan, tandoori -scallops, and the lobster pizza she made famous at Biba. There’s also house-made pasta, a mozzarella bar, and, for dessert, tiramisu. It’s a vibrant mix, framed by an equally vibrant room: warm and open, with gleaming wood and a sexy orange-topped bar.

Food is good but not spectacular and service can be rushed so it's not a fine dining establishment as opposed to those places which we frequent as very regular diners. Is a trendy loud and lively atmosphere-and a place to seek celebs as well as to be seen rather than expect gracious and attentive service and imaginative dishes. Would return but not as frequently as we do to our regular dining spots. Posted by Denise: Jun. June 12th, 2008 at 10:44 AM

Fun from the time you are welcomed at the door, was meeting a friend who was delayed - enjoyed a glass of delish Sauvignon Blanc and delightful conversation with bar server. Dinner was perfect, had a little bit of a lot of signature dishes - restaurant beautifully furnished. Can't wait to go back to sit on the patio on a summer's night. Posted by Mary: Jun.
