The brainchild of Boston nightlife mogul Patrick Lyons, this cavernous space (formerly piano bar Jake Ivory's) is a lively public house featuring dark wood paneling, a colossal bar with room for live music and dancing, and a menu of pub classics like shepherd's pie and Irish stew. Potato skins topped with Irish bacon and cheddar make for a satisfying starter, as does the hearty lamb and beef chili. The real star, though, is the fish and chips: Crisp on the outside, flaky on the inside, and not even a touch greasy, the cod is perfectly paired with thick-cut fries and zingy tartar sauce.
