When is a beer bar not just a beer bar? When it offers 150 different types of artisanal beer, 27 of them on rotating tap lines—served at the perfect temperature in the appropriate glassware—plus extraordinarily good cuisine à la bière (food cooked, and made to be eaten, with beer). Then it’s called the Publick House. On weekends, you’ll find families, couples, and old timers crowding this cozy Washington Square locale, complete with fireplaces and wooden church pew seats. Comfort food reigns, so try the seared pork loin with roasted red Bliss potatoes and wash it down with a bottle of the Westmalle Dubbel (translation: dark, Belgian beer). The andouille sausage sandwich and house-made veggie burger are standouts, too.

Review
Ordered two fish and chips, we got them, but the were fried to death. They were burned. Ask the waiter to get us two fresh ones not so well done. He came back 10 minutes later and brought us the same exact meals we had sent back. (Must have had them under a heating lamp to keep them it that disgusting state.) We left, this is how they treat a regular customer. The quality of the food seems to be getting worse. Sorry for the bad review but it was awful.
