The convivial West on Centre, owned by the same folks behind the Paramount and Peking Tom’s Longtang Lounge, has a handsome dining room that sits between an open kitchen and floor-to-ceiling front windows. And they don’t skimp on their New American fare: The chilled tomato soup with a petit grilled cheese sandwich is listed as an appetizer, but for many people it could be big enough for a meal. The iceberg salad with avocado, bacon, and egg is served less tossed than mounded. And the pork chop, tender on the bone and accompanied by pecan sweet potatoes, crispy onion fries, and a broiled peach, can be positively Flintstonian. Lunchtime finds regulars from the police station next door and coat-and-ties cozying up to the bar to catch midday sporting events on the flat-panel televisions, while the weekend scene is full of families and friendly groups. Please note that while the lounge stays open late, the kitchen closes at 11 p.m.

Review
My family enjoyed a special Sunday brunch at this restaurant, which is convenient to the suburbs, where it's not easy to find a true "bistro" atmosphere outside.
Our food was lovely, delicious and well-presented. It's cozy and warm, not noisy as with many bistros.
