A Is for Aesthetics

At chic-baby outfitter Magic Beans, you’re never too young to learn the art of sitting pretty.

If there were an ultramod cocktail lounge for the bib-and-bottle crowd, the Bloom Fresco might be its signature perch. With space-age curves à la Eero Aarnio’s ball chair, and functionality that would impress even Aeron devotees, this cradle/highchair/play seat is tailor-made for those looking to cut their teeth on European design. No surprise that the first Hub shipment showed up at Brookline’s Magic Beans, which is fast becoming known as a baby Louis Boston—the place to find buzzed-about lines. Style-fussy parents are responding with enthusiasm: Magic Beans added outposts in Hingham and Wellesley last fall, and is expecting a fourth in 2009.
