As New England’s blustery winter makes its last stand, you’re undoubtedly beginning to feel the call of spring. Heed it with a trend you can readily adopt without risking frostbite. Though you may have retired your old sparkly beauty accoutrements (along with all things belly baring and acid washed), this season’s sophisticated crop of metallic eyeliners means the look is worthy of revival. For daytime, try the lustrous, subtle sheen of gunmetal or gilded bronze liners, which can be easy but eye-popping replacements for your usual black pencil. For the evening, dramatic gold and colored metallics applied with a heavier hand require little else—save a few coats of sable mascara—to make a bold statement in even the darkest environments.
