WHAT’S SELLING BEST

The "Bouquet Cami" dress ($300) from Black Halo, a brand favored by the likes of Fergie and Katherine Heigl, is universally flattering.

OUR FAVORITE ITEM

Yoana Baraschi's ruffled silk frock ($482) is at once glam and versatile.

COVETED BY THE SHOP CLERK

This sleek Jill Stuart halter's edge is its simplicity ($435).

THE LOWDOWN

There's a worthy new shopping destination in MetroWest—one that doesn't involve the word "Collection." Opened just before last fall's market crash by Judi Rizley, formerly of Hazel & Grace, the Wellesley women's boutique Wink is on-trend without being faddishly fashion-victim. Most notable are the dresses from in-demand lines at prices that make city markups look extreme: Designs by Black Hālo, for instance, go for around $300 here, while the same styles command almost $400 at Back Bay retailers. You'll also find both office-appropriate and lounge-ready separates ($30–$400), handbags (most under $500), and jewelry (starting at $18) that just might make you rethink that Newbury Street habit.
