This hilltop hotel offers several ballrooms and restaurants, from the more formal Hancock’s restaurant serving steaks and filets to Kilroy’s Irish Pub for lighter fare. The President’s Ballroom can seat more than 1,000; the Junior Ballroom can hold up to 200. The smaller room, nicknamed the Dorothy Quincy Ballroom, has windows looking onto an outdoor patio from which the city can be seen from the hotel’s high vantage point. This South Shore Marriott caters from its own banquet department and has an audio visual department that can orchestrate slideshows on plasma screens and other displays. The hotel is also close to historic landmark attractions and the aquarium.
