20s

Q: Some of my friends are starting to use BOTOX®, but isn’t that treatment for older people?

A: Do you squint a lot in the sun? Are you an OMG eyebrow raiser? It’s never too early to take preventative steps for better beauty. When you’re in your 20s, injectables are mainly prophylactic to help prevent lines from forming later on. Consider this an exercise in fortune telling. When you come in for treatment, your technician will ask you to do exaggerated facial movements to see where lines form first. This gives them an idea of where future problem areas could be. Then they inject very small dosages of BOTOX® into those areas. This way we can stop the signs of aging right in its tracks before it becomes a problem.

30s

Q: I have my 15 year high school reunion coming up. How can I look fresh faced and young?

A: It’s been years since you saw your classmates, so obviously you want to look your best. When you’re in your 30s, it’s the “11s” (glabella lines between the brows) that are of most concern. Along with forehead creases and crow’s feet, these are “dynamic lines,” so they’re formed by using your muscles. The crease we make when we squint our brows together gets deeper as we age and muscle memory kicks in. They can make you appear tired and concerned, two ways you do not want to look at your reunion. BOTOX® relaxes facial muscles by restricting their movement, which means these wrinkles will smooth out. You’ll be sure to wow them when you look just like your year book photo.

40s

Q: Do men get BOTOX®?

A: Of course! Lucky you, men have a friend in Father Time. As you age, there’s attractiveness to boasting crow’s feet and forehead creases. But if the depth of your lines is more severe than you would like, BOTOX® is a great way to soften  any facial lines. In particular, crow’s feet (known as lateral canthal lines) that are caused by squinting are eased by injecting BOTOX® into the area around the sides of the eyes.

50s

Q: I’m over 50 and my chin has taken on an orange peel texture. How can I eliminate this?

A: Peau d’orange (French for orange peel skin) is a common problem for many individuals of every age. This rough texture on the front area of the chin looks something like an orange peel and is mostly a result of repeated contractions of the mentalis (chin muscle). You can eliminate this crêping of the skin with just a few injections of BOTOX® to relax the muscle. You can also take even more years off by treatment in between your eyebrows, on your forehead, and in any crow’s feet.
