Boston Calling

Q&A: Salim Akram of Bad Rabbits

Bad Rabbits formed in 2007, and if you haven’t heard of them yet, this month promises to change that. The Boston group—composed of Salim Akram, Fredua Boakye, Sheel Davé, Graham Masser, and Santiago Araujo—release their first full-length album, American Love, on May 14, and on May 25 share the stage with the likes of Fun. and the Shins at the Boston Calling music festival, on City Hall Plaza. Bad Rabbits’ sound may be hard to describe, but as Akram, the guitarist and a Walpole native, tells us, that hasn’t stopped Bostonians from listening.
