Sure, not making your bridesmaids wear dresses makes you a cool bride. Want to up the ante? Treat your bridesmaids to a cabana party at the hottest rooftop pool in Boston, and then you’ll really have bragging rights.

The Colonnade Hotel’s Roof Top Pool (RTP) is a luxe destination high above our gorgeous city. Sparkling waters, craft cocktails, comfy lounge chairs, and total see-and-be-seen status await.

Each cabana includes four guest passes, but you can add two more guests for $40 each. You’ll nosh on complimentary fruit (kept cold at arm’s reach in a little fridge) and Voss water, or order off the menu (might we suggest the mezze platter of olives, feta, crunchy pita chips, and grilled veggies). You can even watch television, when you need a little entertainment.

And no need to worry about wacky tan lines drawing attention for your wedding photos. The Colonnade provides a Sun Bum “Day Tripper” kit, which contains their gluten-free, paraben-free, oil-free 30 SPF water-resistant sunscreen, 30 SPF lip balm, and their popular Cool Down moisturizer.

If you want to personalize your cabana, you can. They offer “packages” that are completely customized to you, the bride. They recently created one for a Gloucester bride with an “Under the Sea” theme: two large pitchers of Ocean Delight cocktails, a water station, and several plates of food and fruit for snacking. She purchased two cabanas and converted them into one large playspace, with plenty of room for the bridal party members to roam when they weren’t taking a dip in the gorgeous pool.

You’ll need a two-week advance for the reservation. Weekday rates are $200 for Monday-through-Friday rentals; weekend rentals cost $325. If you’ve got a giant party, you can rent all four cabanas and combine them for the ultimate rooftop party.

Get the most out of the sun by renting 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; get the most out of the “scene” with the 5-10 p.m. Friday or Saturday slots. Either way, you’ll be the best bride in town.
