For two nights, “appointment only” means nothing to you.

Sponsored by Boston Weddings, the Aquitaine Group, Boston Pedicab, and Shawn Black Photography, the second annual The South End Wedding Showcase is your opportunity to visit the open studios and shops without appointment.

Held September 23-24 from 4-9 p.m., this midweek event creates a one-stop atmosphere to plan your wedding, as you stroll this beloved neighborhood filled with historical architecture and Victorian charm. Enjoy drinks and bites while you meet the owners and artists and learn about their unique products and services.

This is more than a basic evening of chitchat. With demonstrations beginning at 4 p.m. and running at different locations throughout the South End until 7:30 p.m., you can watch local experts at work. You’ll see the team at Sophie Hughes craft a wedding band, taste Blackbird Doughnuts’ answer to the wedding cake question, and watch the owner of Goosefish Press create an original letterpress from beginning to end. Other stops along the way include Kent Newton Salon, Marc Hall Design, Table & Tulip, and Above and Beyond Catering, to name a few.

Save your heels on those pesky brick sidewalks and opt for a Boston Pedicab to get you to all your destinations. Each studio and store has something special for you when you arrive, from bubbles and bites to prizes and take-away goodie bags.

There’s even a scavenger hunt aspect to keep things moving. Show your map at any of the Aquitaine group restaurants (Aquitaine, Cinquecento, Gaslight, Metropolis) during the two evenings and get a free glass of bubbly to help fuel you on. And all you Instagramers, tag your posts #SEWS2015 and visit all the spots to receive prizes.
