Hockey player Marvin Degon has a passion for two things: the ice, and his new wife, Taryn. After his first pro road trip game in 2006, he ran upstairs to Taryn's hotel room and said, "I'm so happy to have you be a part of this moment, I want us to do this forever." He got down on one knee, pulled out a keychain, and asked her to marry him. She said yes (they later designed a proper ring together). The pair, who met in high school math class at Cushing Academy, settled in for a long engagement. They finally tied the knot last summer at Belle Mer—"the closest we could come to a destination wedding without leaving the country," says Taryn—and promptly moved to Germany, where Marvin now plays for the Wolfsburg Grizzly Adams. How's that for scoring a goal?
