Show Off Your Love in Lights
This new Needham-based marquee letter light company wants your love to shine brightly—and it will.
On a recent trip home, British-born Helen Kura and her American husband Tom noticed there was a growing trend of using marquee-style letters during celebrations. Married 20 years, the couple reminisced about their big day and how a lit-up LOVE or H&T in the beautiful English manor house where their reception was held would have looked spectacular.
Then a light went on. Your Love In Lights was born.
Returning back to the States and their Needham home, they got to work on their new marquee letter light rental company. Since their spring 2015 launch, it has helped brighten several local weddings.
Designed in a bold font and finished in bright white, the four-foot tall lights are reminiscent of the famous Hollywood sign and pair with any wedding decor and venue. Their vintage charm and glamour offers sparkle and stunning backdrops for dancing and photos.
The couple makes their letters by hand in their workshop, and their creations are designed for both indoor and covered outdoor use. Bonus points for this detail—the letters connect, so you only need one electrical outlet from your venue. They even supply the needed extension cords. Although standard bulbs are a vintage-look clear glass, they also have a wide range of bulbs if you want a little bit of color.
All letters and digits are available and can be configured to make any statement the bride and groom desire. “LOVE,” “PARTY!”, your initials, your newly-shared surname…anything is possible. And while the team began Your Love in Lights with a floor-standing product line, there are plans for future table-top designs that stand two feet tall.
They work with you and your venue coordinators before your wedding to select a location for the lights that works best. After their delivery and setup is done, it’s time to get things started, and light the lights.
