I hired A Fine Image for my daughter's wedding after doing some comparison shopping. This was my first wedding so everything was very new for me. I found the price in the same ball park as many photographers that were recommended. I found their package actually better than many, 2 photographers for 8 hours. The price of photographer is separate from wedding album, where many combine the both. I love their website. If is very informative. Simple to navigate. I sent an e-mail and had a response the same day. Then as the anxious mom of the bride I would actually call and speak with Michael and he was always gracious on the phone and would answer my questions or send me back an e-mail in a timely manner. Our main photographer was Edward, we met him at a convenient location and he was "fantastic." He was so low key and did not make my daughter nervous at all. There was enough of that going on. He was never in the way, you didn't know he was there. He never rushed us. If you need someone to keep you calm, he's the man. The pictures are beautiful, some very traditional ones and the others are just like from a magazine, gorgeous! I can't wait to order them. I would definitely recommend A Fine Image, I did order the disc with all the pictures and am ordering an album. You have many options for albums, so prices vary. Would hirely recommend their services.

Great photographers. I used them for my wedding and they provide top service at a good price. They are professional and they are very creative with their photos as well! If you would like great service that won't break the bank as well as top quality photos that your friends and family will compliment and want to hang up by the mantle then this is definitely the company to pick! Would recommend them to any bride!

It's very hard to get me to write one of these unless it must be done for the sake of future newly weds out there. A Fine Image looks nice but behind the scenes, are very deceiving! I paid 2300.00 for what I thought would be two photographers of my choice on my wedding day and a CD of high resolution best 1000+ images. 1500 - for two photographers and 800 for the CD. I haven't received any of my pictures yet and they are informing NOW, that I have to pay an addition 2000.00 for a wedding album to get my already paid for CD. The contract states: A wedding album purchase is required to buy the negatives. So my husband and I thought we could just buy a parents album for 500.00. But no - to be able to have my wedding photos I have to pay an additional 2000.00 extra because the contract did not make specific what type of album to buy. So if you want to spend 1500.00 +800.00 + 2000.00 = 4300.00 for terrible service and a lies about what you actually get versus what they say you get - be my guest - but you'd be better off going somewhere else, pay less, and getting better service and quality. Brides and Groom's...Please Please Please don't work with them....they will stress you out and you don't need any stress on your special day!

We hired A Fine Image for our wedding in June 2010. We were apprehensive to hire them without a meeting but we got a $500.00 credit and it was worth it. Everything turned out perfect. Our photos came out great and our wedding dvd is unbelievable!!! The only complaint I have was that they were not very clear on album and negative pricing so be sure to discuss the details with the owner. Other than that we highly recommend their quality of work and professionalism.

We used A Fine Image for our wedding in April of this year. At first I had a few apprehensions of booking them without meeting them in person for a consultation but that quickly subsided after I saw how amazing their work is! I would definitely recommend getting their package offering two photographers so you ensure that every moment is captured. They did such a fantastic job with our pictures and all of my friends raved how they are magazine quality photographs. I have some really unique candid pictures as well as perfectly posed formal portraits, a perfect balance of each photography style. I would definitely recommend them to all of my friends!

My husband and I hired A Fine Image for my wedding last month. A friend recommended that my husband and I check out their web site. We did and we loved what we saw! The pictures were gorgeous! When I called for more information, the consultant I spoke with walked me through all the package options on the web site and helped me find what worked best for my husband and me. We booked A Fine Image without a consultation, it did leave my husband and I slightly concerned but we loved their work that we saw online. When it was time to meet the photographer and videographer my husband and I were very satified. They were both very nice and met all of our expectations. They were both very friendly and professional. Other than the formal pictures we barely knew they were there! They were not at all intrusive. After our wedding the photographer kept in touch with us until we received the picures. Overall, we are satisfied!

My husband and I hired A Fine Image last June for our wedding day. I was having a hard time finding a photographer that was in our price range. My husband and I were paying for everything ourselves and were worried about our tight budget. I would look online every night and then one day my sister gave me a call. She said that she had found a photographer online that had reasonable prices and also serviced Connecticut. I sent an email inquiring about A Fine Image's services. They emailed me right back and gave me a phone call within 24hrs. I was a little apprehensive at first because I was arranging everything via email and phone, but was immediately put at ease after speaking to Mark. We decided to go with the 2 photographer package. At no time did I feel that I was being pressured or that I had to make any decisions in advance. I was told the prices and found them very reasonable! Both photographers were punctual, professional and took beautiful pictures. As soon as our photos were posted online my husband and I immediately emailed our friends and family and received rave reviews on the quality of our photos. I would highly recommend their services to any of my friends and family for any occasion.

Video is amazing! Photos have not been seen yet despite repeated attempts to purchase rights and albums. They NEVER call you back. It looks like we got taken! Very rude and unprofessional. Buyer beware!!

I worked for this company once and they are total rip off artists and had to stop working for them because of their criminal practices. Not only do they say that you will get the owner Jennifer and that Mark is her husband, this is a sham they are not married and Mark is a total con artist, interviews his employees at his house in his bathrobe and then makes them work for under minimum wades for professionals who have a degree and are desperate for work due to the economy. Even when I have done all the work and delivered all the images to them, they are late getting them to the brides and I don't think they care about quality. Their photographers leave them because they can't pay them on time and when you ask for your money you have to literally threaten them that you will not deliver the images in order to get them to pay you.Unethical business practices, can't communicate and make their clients wrong, their staff wrong and anyone else wrong for not accepting the Bull**** that they are telling you. Please stay away and hire a true professional company. Oh and if you want your negatives you have to pay for a 3-5,000 dollar album that only costs them 300.00 to make or they will delete your negatives. Sorry for the bad news but I am telling you this so you know and know what they are about. They have even had to change their name from A Candid Image to A Fine Image because they are so well know to rip people off.

We used A Fine Image for our wedding this past June. They were outstanding. I spoke with Mark and explained my apprehension of not meeting him, but after seeing photos online and speaking to my photographer my fears were put at ease. The photos came out wonderful and I am so pleased.

VERY long story short, they did nothing they said they would for us. Everything took WAY longer than promised and when questioned about it, they got defensive and mean and sneaky. My brother and sister-in-law used them and had good luck. We used them and they were awful to work with and communicate with. The positive review you may see here and other sites, was written by Elizabeth Roche (my sister in law) was used without her permission. She wrote them a thank you letter and they went onto multiple sites and posted quotes from her letter as separate reviews by her. They are SHADY!!! WAY too overpriced for the crap you have to deal with from them. Individual photogs were nice to work with but not worth dealing with mark and jennifer.

We used A Fine Image for our wedding in September, 2009. We booked them online, without meeting the photographers first. Which made us rather nervous. The overall experience was good, and Mark was very helpful. We also understood that we weren't guaranteed a specific photographer when using them, but they showed up on time, and were very pleasant to us. The "posed shot" session outside the reception was a bit overly forced and awkward - we were made to "mug" for the camera far too often. We also often felt pressured to pose for a shot one of the photographers had in mind, that we didn't want (taking us away from our reception for 20 minutes). The "formal" photos were rather disappointing. Too far away, impersonal and we didn't have a "super-professional" result. All that being said, the candids before the ceremony, and during the reception were wonderful. They had some very creative "detail" shots of the bride, centerpieces, the cake, flowers, etc. Photos that looked like they belonged in a bridal magazine. As for the company itself, I understand that this is a business, and they do have to make a profit, but the wedding album prices are a bit steep. We are now starting the process of the album/negative purchase, and will be able to give a thorough review of that experience afterward.

We hired A Fine Image for our 2009 wedding and were very pleased with our two photographers and videographer. They were very professional, friendly and creative! We found A Fine Image online and were so impressed by their work and style that we went ahead and booked them without meeting. Their prices seemed reasonable compared to other photographer/videographers we had researched. We never supplied A Fine Image "must take" photos (perhaps we should have asked them but they did not ask us), but were very pleased by how everything turned out. The communication has been on-going and we have enjoyed working with them!

This was the worst company I have every worked with, period. I signed a contract with their "photographer" Jennifer. Less than a week before my wedding, after I sent multiple emails the weeks leading up to my wedding with my must take photos for Jennifer, I was told that I had a different photographer and that I wasn't guaranteed Jennifer. Interesting since my contract was with Jennifer and there was no mention of changing photographers anywhere in the contract. With less than a week before my wedding, I was stuck with whoever I was given as it was too late to find someone else and I would have lost all of my money. After the wedding, they took longer than the 90 days stated in the contract to post my pictures. They tripled the price of the negatives we had agreed upon originally and I had down in writing. When we threatened legal action because they had breached so many items in our contract, they turned around and threatened legal action on us for deformation, when we had done nothing of the sort. They threatened me, my husband, and my parents at home and at work personally, threatened our jobs, our homes, our cars, and more. Security and legal had to be called in at our work (we all work at the same company) and the head of our legal department said that he's never delt with a bigger nutbag and security was on high alert because of the psychotic things the owner was saying. In the end, we got our negatives and our lawyer worked everything out, but these people do not know how to run a business. The owner, Mark has been banned by every photography association according to our photographer who refuses to work with this company ever again after our experience because of all of the issues he's caused me among other brides and how he runs business. Mark goes by multiple names, so be careful. They should not be in business. On top of everything, I didn't get a lot of my must take photos. There isn't a single picture of me with my mom, our venue, me with my grandparents, and so many other photos that were on my must take list, and they weren't obscure photo requests either. I was so disappointed and it really turned what should have been a wonderful day into 6 months of headaches, disappointment, and sheer disbelief at how this company treats their customers.

all the positives you see you will see on other sites too word for word because they plant them there! not hard to figure out. worst experience ever . now i have no wedding photos they said they wanted 2500 in 2 weeks or they will permanately delete my wedding photos. i was then told by a friend that there was a review where the lady was told the same thing, borrowed $ from family adn friends and AFI said "that was just a deposit we need more $ or we'll delete the pictures" SPREAD THE WORD

Trust me. Do your research. Don't trust anything positive about A Fine Image and stay far away. There are too many negative experiences with these unethical crooks to take a chance with something as important as your wedding photos. Go elsewhere. Google them, heed the negative reviews on this site, and Google them, you'll soon learn, A Fine Image is one heck of One Fine Mess.

We were married on September 13 at the Lord Thompson Manor in Connecticut. We hired A Fine Image to do our photography. They provided us with two photographers, Michael Scroggins and Bryan Furey. Both of their photographers were awesome. The photos were amazing...better than I could have ever imagined. Mike was fantastic! He captured all of the moments we will want to remember forever. He managed to catch all of the excitement and emotions of the day in such a way that every time I look at the photos I am reminded of every wonderful moment of that day. We have so many great shots not only of ourselves and our family but of our friends and wedding guests. The photographers for A Fine Image did an excellent job. Jillian (MacAllister) and Carmine Taglione

We were married at the Red Lion Inn in Cohasset. We hired A Fine Image photo and video for our wedding. We are very pleased with their services. We are delighted with the intimacy and beauty they captured with the pictures of our wedding day. Never did we expect such genuine images of the special moments we shared together, as well as those of our guests. I am ecstatic that my brother-in-law and his fiancé have chosen them as their photographer for their wedding as well after seeing the magnificent work they do - there is absolutely no chance they will be disappointed! They should be very proud of their business, as they do not for one instance make the whole nerve-wracking process of planning a wedding and finishing up those final details stressful. It was a pleasure working with A Fine Image, they are a true professionals and very kind and understanding people. From the wedding formals to the candids of our guests, their images from our wedding would be cherished forever. Elizabeth & Brian Roche

This "company" is actually a husband & wife team who scam innocent clients of their money during the most vulnerable time of their lives. When I first spoke to Mark, I was told that “Jennifer” would be my photographer as I requested so I hired them. Little did I know that “Jennifer” was actually his wife. I was promised several times (including in writing) that Jennifer would be my photographer barring any unforeseen emergencies. When the balance was due Mark again confirmed that Jennifer would be my photographer. One week before my wedding I received a call from someone claiming to be my wedding photographer. I thenI called Mark to find out why the photographer that I contracted with would not actually be working my wedding. He told me that Jennifer had “a lot of administrative duties to take care of” that day. (Since when do administrative duties constitute an emergency???) He proceeded to yell at me on the phone and called ME a liar! Needless to say our request for a refund was never granted and we lost our $1500. Take my advice and the advice of every other non-bridal review site out there….STAY AWAY FROM “A FINE IMAGE.”
