Top Docs 2008 Part II: What to Know

Where to Get…
Research help in the bricks-and-mortar world.

You don’t have to be a patient to get some information, please, from Beth Israel’s Learning Center (617-667-9100), where the medical librarian fields research-related questions and mails out info sheets on topics like colonoscopies and hip replacements. And you don’t have to be a med student to engage in hard-core book learning at Harvard’s Countway Library of Medicine (617-432-2136), one of the world’s largest caches of medical information. Members of the public are allowed access for a daily fee of $35.
