Walking past one Newbury Street vacancy sign after another was a sure way to get a shopper down—that is, until Jonathan Adler jumped in and livened things up. Located in the spaces formerly inhabited by Comptoir de Famille and Maha Barsom (RIP), Adler’s eponymous boutique offers a highly curated explosion of the designer’s signature bright hues, perky prints, and whimsical shapes. Accessories range from original artwork to those iconic ceramic vases, and the furniture, rugs, pillows, and wallpaper are all customizable. Yes, a fuchsia velvet loveseat atop a zebra-print rug is exactly what your living room needs.
