Tressed to Impress

Picking the right wedding ’do can be tricky: You need a glam style that can withstand hours of dancing, but you don’t want helmet head. We put staffer (and soon-to-be bride) Casey McNamara in the hands of four top stylists to see what looks they’d create.

Stylist Alex Craig of Bradley & Diegel took the feathered trend (found on headbands, earrings, and fedoras all season) and gave it wedding-worthy polish, pulling Casey’s hair into a side-swept updo with a soft but full look. “I always try to do something classic and elegant, but that still…has funkiness and personality,” says Craig, who’s been doing bridal updos for more than 15 years. In a happy coincidence, she brought cobalt blue feathers that complemented Casey’s bright blue eyes.
