Burger Boom: Grass Fed

The new J.P. burger spot beefs up the dining scene.

Tasty Burger and the Boston Burger Company are expanding. Business is booming at chainlets Uburger and Four Burgers. Our city, it’s clear, has an insatiable appetite for better fast food. And now that Ten Tables owner Krista Kranyak has debuted Grass Fed, a burger-centric concept in J.P., we’ve officially come down with burger mania.

At her new restaurant, Kranyak emphasizes classics like bacon cheeseburgers, but also versions with beef stand-ins such as chicken, mushrooms, or chickpeas. “I wanted the veggie burgers to be so good that even meat lovers would order them,” she says. Toppings like fontina cheese and harissa aioli up the ante even more. Below, a look at four of her quirkier offerings.
