Boston Massacre

The Globes always spot-on film section went for the throat today, handing out three 2-star reviews, two 1.5 stars and a 1-star. The lowest-rated was Good Luck Chuck, the weirdly violent Dane Cook/Jessica Alba turkey whose ads have actually started making me angry. Here’s the Globe‘s Wesley Morris, making the case that the most lasting thing about this movie is the quality of witty derision it provokes: “This is excruciatingly and exasperatingly unfunny,” Morris writes, “like standing under a pinata that yields no treats regardless of how many times you beat it.” Read the review. It’s immensely satisfying.
