Faces: Music, Moments and Memories

Friends, dancers and bouncers of old!

The wrecking ball is poised and the bulldozers at the ready: Faces is coming down.

But before it does, we revisit our memories of the iconic disco club in our May issue, saying our farewells through the words of the patrons, bartenders, bouncers and DJs who knew it best.

Rounding out the story, we include here special excerpts from the playlists of music that actually played at Faces, from back in the day when DJ Steven Burke manned the vinyl for the gyrating bodies on the dance floor.

We invite you to play a few tunes, think of the old days (when high gas prices meant over a dollar a gallon), and help us get a conversation started in the comments: if you danced at Faces, what was it like? What did you love? What do you remember? And what did you wear?
