Art
“New Blue and White” at the MFA

Classic inspiration, blue and white ceramic is the focus of the newly opened “New Blue and White” exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts. Playing off of a global trend of blue-and-white, this exhibit highlights modern ideas through the popular palette. From a Rodarte dress and heels to inspired takes on porcelain dishware, this exhibit shows an international selection of pieces that each make their own cultural and aesthetic statements.

$25, February 20-July 14, Museum of Fine Arts, 465 Huntington Ave., 617-267-9300, mfa.org

Night Out
Winter Warrior Pub Crawl

Battle the winter, brave the cold, and suit up for a bar night. For the best of bar-hopping while not freezing to death, visit Faneuil Hall for this year’s Boston Ski & Sports Club Pub Crawl. With one-hour stops at six bars, shake off those sweatpants, trade in that hot chocolate for Jim Bean liquor samplings and shots, and bring your social life out of hibernation.

$20 individual, $50 for group of 5, Saturday, February 23, beginning at 12:30 p.m., Ned Devine’s, 1 N. Market St., 617-248-8800, bostonskiandsportsclub.wordpress.com

Music
Haydn in Paris at Symphony Hall

Take a trip to Paris this weekend…for just $20. No, we’re not crazy. The Boston Symphony Hall is bringing Paris to Boston with Harry Christophers’s rendition of Hadyn, highlighting one of his Paris Symphonies The Bear. Come early for a spirited discussion on the music and stay late for an “Ooh La La!” after-party. The Boston Symphony Orchestra will also perform a different take on Haydn on Saturday, including his Mass in Time of War beside Stravinsky’s 1919 ballet suite Pulcinella.

$20-84, Friday-Sunday, February 22-24, Boston Symphony Hall, 301 Massachusetts Ave., 617-266-1492, bso.org

Food
Fourth Annual Boston Chili Cup

It’s chili weather in Boston, and Ned Devine’s knows it. The Fourth Annual Chili Cup at the Faneuil Hall pub brings chili, booze, and prizes to support charity on Thursday. With more than 20 local Boston restaurants participating in the event, you can have your fill and decide who really has the best chili in Boston. With drinks from Corona and Don Julio and a live performance from the Herland Brothers, this will not be your everyday cook-off. Stuffing yourself to the brim will benefit Community Work Services.

$10-15, Thursday, February 21, 6 p.m., Ned Devine’s, 1 N. Market St., 617-248-8800, neddevinesboston.com

Beauty
Salon Mario Russo Beauty Bar Pop-Up Night

With the Grammys behind us and the Oscars this weekend, our back-to-real-life slump has already begun to set in. Real life means we don’t have personal stylists lining up the most expensive brands. We don’t get make-up artists fixing the slightest drip in our eyeliner. And no, us common folks don’t get personal assistants willing to cater to our every need. Salon Mario Russo on Newbury, however, thinks that you deserve the best, and they’re hosting their first Beauty Bar Pop-Up Night on Friday to prove it to you. With a red-carpet theme, the salon will style your hair in a sleek ponytail, a stylish chignon, or Hollywood waves, and teach you the steps to creating the look. Stay for the full star treatment, including a perfectly crafted playlist, champagne, and cake pops from Treat Cupcake Bar. Start your Oscars weekend off right by getting the pampering you deserve to make you feel like a red-carpet stunner.

$40, Friday, February 21, 5 p.m., Salon Mario Russo, 9 Newbury St., 617-424-6676, salonmariorusso.com
