Cambridge Dance Party
Head to the streets to dance the night away with friends—and thousands of strangers—at the annual Cambridge Dance Party. A DJ spinning music, colorful lights after dark, no dress code, and no cover charge. There’s no reason for anyone to go clubbing this Friday. Dance the night away in front of Cambridge City Hall instead.

Highland Street Foundation Free Fun Fridays
Boston and its surrounding areas hold a rich collection of art, history, and culture, scattered throughout a multitude of museums and cultural institutions. Admission to these places is often hefty, but this summer, you can take advantage of free admission to 60 venues, courtesy of the Highland Street Foundation. The nonprofit will cover admission to six venues each Friday for ten weeks, starting this week with the Freedom Trail Foundation, Mass MoCA, Stone Zoo, Worcester Art Museum, Heritage Museums & Gardens, and Tanglewood. Talking Taste at the ICA
Learn the art of cooking from Boston’s most popular chefs at one of Boston’s most popular art museums. This Friday, Michael Serpa of Neptune Oyster kicks off Talking Taste, the annual series that brings visitors to the ICA Grandstand to watch demonstrations by the city’s best chefs and enjoy spectacular views of the Boston Harbor. Attend individual talks or buy a season pass to attend all four—in addition to Serpa, this season’s lineup includes Joanne Chang of Flour Bakery + Café and Myers + Chang, Will Gilson of Puritan & Co., and Jackson Cannon of The Hawthorne. As a bonus, tickets include museum admission, so you can come early and work up your appetite by ambling through the museum’s various galleries.

Frog Pond Wading Pool Opening Celebration
Find some cool relief from this week’s heat wave at the opening celebration of the Frog Pond wading and spray pool at the Commons this Saturday.
