Well, well. After American Hustle wrapped up earlier this year, and with Robert Downey Jr. and Denzel Washington in town shooting movies, it sure does look like Massachusetts is becoming a temporary Hollywood backdrop. And now we’ve got another star-studded movie to add to our list. HBO’s newest original film. titled Clear History, was shot in Massachusetts last fall and will premiere on the network this Saturday.

Clear History—produced, starring and written by Larry David (and his Curb Your Enthusiasm crew)—follows a guy named Nathan Flomm (David), a marketing rep at a startup company, who quits his job working for entrepreneur Will Haney (Jon Hamm) after Haney invents an electric car and gives it the ridiculous name of “the Howard.” Fast forward 10 years later, and the Howard is a sensation and made Haney and everybody involved billionaires. Nathan tries to avoid the humiliation of his situation by moving to Martha’s Vineyard and assuming a different identity. Kate Hudson, Bill Hader, Amy Ryan, Michael Keaton, Danny McBride, and Eva Mendes also star.

According to the Mass. Film Office, Clear History was filmed in Beverly, Essex, Marblehead, North Andover, Rockport, and Woburn, Massachusetts, in the fall of 2012. At the premiere event of Clear History in Hollywood last week, the festivities were reportedly held in a lot that resembled the Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Fair (yes, this exists).
