If you didn’t get enough of the Backstreet Boys when they came to Bank of America Pavilion in August, you’ll get a second chance this Saturday at the DCR Hatch Shell, where they will be playing a free concert at MixFest 2013 along with Gavin DeGraw and headliners Of Monsters and Men.

These bands just can’t stay away, as one of America’s favorite boy bands wasn’t the only one who recently drew crowds to Boston. DeGraw, a Berklee alum, performed at MixFest last year, accompanied by Andy Grammer and Train, and will be returning this year for another go. Of Monsters and Men also played in Boston recently, when they came to the first Boston Calling in May.

Not only is MIX 104.1 pulling out all the stops with their lineup, but did we mention MixFest is free? That’s right, you can ride DeGraw’s “Chariot,” and swoon to BSB’s “As Long As You Love Me” up close and personal without feeling guilty about how much you paid for nosebleed seats.

Celebrating it’s 20th year, this year’s concert will also include a little local love, with MIX 104.1’s 15 Seconds of Fame contest. One lucky winner selected from hopefuls who uploaded videos to the station’s contest page will open MixFest 2013.

With classic pop, homey American tunes and indie rock, this MixFest brings the best of all worlds for an outdoor concert that will please all ages, so pack your picnic basket now and plan on getting to the Hatch Shell early, because the rest of Boston will be headed there too. There will even be a kids’ area to entertain the younger ones.

MixFest 2013 takes place this Saturday at the DCR Hatch Shell. Gates open at 1 p.m. and performances begin at 4 p.m. For more information, go to mix1041.cbslocal.com.
