Food trucks, festivities, and a free ride on a Ferris wheel: It’s all happening in Cambridge this week.

Education First is giving attendees a chance to take a whirl on the amusement ride outside of their headquarters across the Charles River, and they are promising that people who go up in the air—it’s around 120 feet high, or, as they explain, 21.5 “smoots”—will get a bird’s-eye view of Boston’s skyline.

Free rides on the EF Ferris wheel, positioned outside of Education First’s new building, are being offered on Wednesday, September 25, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and again on Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The two-day event is located across from the Museum of Science, next to the Department of Conservation and Recreation’s North Point Park. Attendees can take the MBTA to Science Park or Lechmere and walk to One Education Street to nab a free ride on the Ferris Wheel.

Education First started constructing the Ferris wheel on Monday, to prepare for the free event. It’s the second largest portable Ferris wheel in the country. Over 1,000 people have “liked” the Facebook page offering the free rides this week.

Here’s a “sneak peek” at the view people can expect once they get up in the air:
