Up Too Late at the Boston Children’s Museum

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Boston Children’s Museum, and they’re celebrating their birthday in style. This weekend, the museum will host “Up Too Late,” a late-night 21+ event with cocktails, a photo booth, and bubbles. Bring your dancing shoes, because it’s going to be a long night.

Bikes and Bites

For those of you who look forward to your daily bike commute as much as your lunch, Bikes and Bites is the place to be. The 3rd annual Bikes and Bites culinary bike tour, hosted by Arlington’s Tryst Restaurant and Quad Cycles, is 22 miles in total, with stops including a farm tour, wine tastings, and a two-course dinner at Tryst. All you need to bring is a bike (unless you want to rent one there) and your appetite. Oh, and don’t forget your helmet!

Festivals
Boston Local Food Festival

New England’s largest one-day farmers market is coming back this weekend. The Boston Local Food Festival is an annual event that promotes local farmers, specialty food producers, and healthy eating. This year’s theme “Healthy Food for All” aims to help consumers understand the benefits of fitness and buying local food. There will be chef demonstrations, a seafood-cooking throwdown, and live music performances.

Free, Sunday, October 6, 11 a.m., Atlantic Ave. and Milk St., bostonlocalfoodfestival.com

Fashion
Girl Swap

It’s time to bring back the barter system. After the success of Man Swap earlier this summer, SoWa will host Girl Swap this Sunday. Bring any of your unwanted clothes and you can swap them for any pieces you fancy. Just remember to wash your clothes before bringing them. Nobody likes a Cheeto-stained cashmere sweater.

Free, Sunday, October 6, 11:30 a.m., 460 Harrison Ave., yelp.com
