No Pants Subway Ride
Thank goodness those shockingly low temperatures happened earlier this week instead of this Sunday. Much like those who participated in the Santa Speedo Run in December, the folks who choose to take part in this weekend’s seventh annual No Pants Subway Ride have dodged a dangerous bullet. In case the name hasn’t spelled it out for you already, here’s the deal: People ride the subway. Sans pants. You can participate. Still don’t have a clear picture? In a nutshell, Once follows a guy named Guy and a girl named Girl who fall in love and make beautiful romantic music together. Sounds overdone, yet the word “original” was used time and time again to describe it in rave reviews. The movie-turned-musical was nominated for 11 Tony awards in 2012—and won eight of them, so you know you’re in for a worthy treat.
