Mark Wahlberg Said He Wants to Beat Up One Direction

Then Harry Styles sent him concert tickets to 1D's concert in Boston this summer. So rational.

Well isn’t this the most unlikely celebrity feud in the history of celebrity feuds?

Mark Wahlberg appeared on Conan last week and revealed his daughters’ recent obsession with boy band One Direction. Mark Wahlberg—being Mark Wahlberg—threatened to “beat the crap” out of young and #blessed Harry Styles.

Perhaps the most endearing part of this (non)feud is Styles’s retaliation. The UK’s Daily Star reported that Styles thought Wahlberg’s conversation on Conan was an absolute hoot, so he sent Wahlberg and his family a very special invite.

Styles reportedly reached out to Wahlberg—who’s probably now experiencing an extreme mid-life crisis while reminiscing on his own days as a teen heartthrob—with tickets and backstage passes to one of their Where We Are shows at Gillette Stadium this summer.

If Styles doesn’t watch out, he’s going to risk getting a black eye or two.

Wahlberg told Conan:

My four-year-old’s going, “Daddy, I like Harry,” and I’m like, “Well I’m gonna punch Harry in the nose when I see him.”

He continued:

She pulls out pictures of him and she’s hiding pictures in the room, and I pretend I’m ripping them up and I get jealous.

Ah, but the best line for last

But if I see that little prick, he’s gonna get it.

Charming.
