Dance
Movement at the Mills

If you find that traditional art exhibitions can be a little stiff, then check out Movement at the Mills, a series of dance exhibitions showcasing edgy and interactive dance work. At this event, Jessie Jeanne & Dancers Company will showcase their dancing skills with choreography inspired Henri Matisse, and Reject Dance Theatre will explore the human psyche, gender, and animal movement. The dancing is cross-disciplinary, and the performances will take place throughout the space while attendees have the chance to walk through and observe.

Free, Friday, Apr 18, 7 p.m., and 8 p.m., Mills Gallery at the Boston Center for the Arts, 551 Tremont St., Boston, 617-426-5000, bcaonline.org.
