Watch Jack White Join Beck On Stage in Rhode Island

He seemed to enjoy it more than that Cubs game.

There was a lot of hubbub when news came around that when Jack White plays Fenway Park in September, he plans to face the bleachers, because I guess that’s a really big deal? The reports seemed more excited than White was himself about the turn of events (har har).

Anyway, White was in Rhode Island this past weekend to headline the Newport Folk Festival along with Ryan Adams, Mavis Staples, and other great acts. Attendees quoted him saying things like the following:

However, White did more than just entertain at Newport Folk this weekend. He also dropped in on his buddy Beck’s show at the Providence Performing Arts Center. Together, they performed “Pay No Mind” (above), “Loser,” and “Where It’s At,” according to The Future Heart.

Bad news for Jack White: he really doesn’t like it when people record at live shows.

Good news for when Jack White plays Fenway: He does like baseball… maybe. Or, at least he likes the Tigers… sort of.
