Elf: The Musical Is Coming to Mass.
For reasons unknown, the movie Elf aired on MTV last week. Viewers expressed their perplexity on social media, wondering why a winter holiday film was being shown in the middle of summer:
MTV is showing Elf right now…. It's August, too early for that #youhadonejob

While some were confused by the scheduling, others didn’t mind at all, because for some, it’s never too soon for Buddy the Elf:
Regardless how you feel about Elf in August, there’s no denying that once that first pumpkin spice latte of fall is poured, Elf—which came out in 2003—has joined the American canon of Christmas cheer.
After all, are there any scenes more spectacular than when Buddy exclaims:
SANTA! OH MY GOD! Santa, here? I know him! I know him! [Watch]
or when he explains a balanced elf diet?
We elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns, syrup. [Watch]
You can bet Elf will air dozens of times on TV once the holiday season comes around. However, if you want to see the hilarious story come to life on stage, then make plans early to see Elf: The Musical at the Hanover Theatre in Worcester this November. The tale of Buddy the Elf…in song? We can’t think of a better way to fuel Santa’s sleigh.
