Living legend, rumored demigod, and famous actor Morgan Freeman might be in very close quarters soon. According to a report from Variety, Freeman is set to join Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried, and Seth MacFarlane in Ted 2. Well, he’s not Matthew McConaughey in a fanny pack, but obviously Morgan Freeman is the next best thing.
Variety also says that Freeman would play an “iconic civil rights lawyer who comes into the picture when Ted needs to resolve some legal issues.” Not surprising.
The film is currently shooting all over the city, currently at the Union United Methodist Church in the South End. Production has also been spotted at places like the Custom House, Boston Public Garden in Boston, and also in Malden, Ipswich, and Chelsea.

Earlier this year, Boston Casting held an open casting call for Ted 2. An endless line of hopefuls showed up in all sorts of costumes with hopes of becoming America’s next top teddy bear (or something). Ted 2 is expected to hit theaters in 2015.
