Liam Neeson Joins the Cast of Ted 2

Looks like the cast of Ted 2 landed just about every relevant person in Hollywood right now. Entertainment Weekly reports that movie star and potential real-life action figure Liam Neeson has been added to the all-star cast.

The movie, a followup to Seth MacFarlane’s 2012 comedy starring Mark Wahlberg, is filming in Boston this month. The movie also recently cast Morgan Freeman and possibly Kim Kardashian.

MacFarlane confirmed the news via Twitter.

Yesterday Liam Neeson, today Morgan Freeman. Not a bad week for #Ted2.

Freeman is supposed to play an “iconic civil rights lawyer who comes into the picture when Ted needs to resolve some legal issues,” while Kardashian is rumored to play Ted’s love interest. What kind of character will Neeson play? His acting history suggests he may be some sort of figure out to save somebody from something. But who? Mark Wahlberg? And from what? His delusional ability to talk to a foul-mouthed teddy bear?

This cast is getting mightier by the week, and MacFarlane is probably just getting started. Who’ll be next? Chris Pratt? Or how about some Bradley Cooper? (I hope some Bradley Cooper.)

Ted 2 is set to be released in theaters June 26, 2015.
